Aitai no ni~ Merry Christmas to you~

It's been awhile, but a new blog post = a new video! :D

I have been practicing this song for awhile, but between exams and holiday parties and events, it was hard to get this recording out. I wish I got it out on Christmas, but at least I got in the week of Christmas, New Years and of course, Boxing Day!

A key point to notice in this video is the wrist movement I do. If you check the dance shot of this song, Mai is the only one that does this wrist movement. I thought it was pretty cool that it made that particular dance move 10x more interesting than just simply bringing my arm towards me.

Some parts of the song, I was on auto-pilot. ^_^" Especially during Maimi's solo part, instead of actually doing her particular solo, I ended up doing the chorus movements all over again. When I realized this, I wanted to record the song all over again, until I noticed that my camera died. -__- Oh well.

This video is so far the best, but it could be better (of course). Don't worry, I've got an awesome song to do next. :D

Jump Start Idol Update: I've got 5 other competitors and I am in 3rd place with 120 likes. Help me out by going to my Facebook fanpage and pressing that "like" button!

Thanks so much for all your support as always. <3

Only Dancing This Time Around

A new blog post means... that I have posted a new video again!

My video is purely dancing this time. I really want to try all sorts of videos to attract more people. The video is pretty short, but if there are people that like it, then I'll definitely keep doing dancing-only videos.

Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dT-_iSrJoao

If you're wondering, yes the choreography is almost exactly identical to the real dance that Britney does in her music video (I say "almost" because the MV doesn't show the entire dance). I learned it off a tutorial on Youtube.

Jump Start Idol Update: I'm at 113 "likes" so far, and I need 887 more.

I know I have not exhausted all the possible videos I could do, but I'm definitely running out of time (just about 2 months left). I'm going to keep trying all sorts of videos this month, and then I'll pursue videos that seem more likely to be a hit. Comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated! :)

Surprise Video!

Hello again! :)

I just uploaded a new video, but I'm really embarrassed about it. *face is all red*

Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WHXquqa7wzE

So, I'm playing the ocarina this time and doing some talking. I'm not extremely good with wind instruments (I was barely able to play the clarinet in high school, and it was the only instrument I was allowed to play, since I did much worse with the flute, trombone and trumpet @.@). I'm also kind of shy when I talk, so listening to myself talk is super embarrassing. *hides underneath a blanket* I hope you'll find the video entertaining at least. >.<

I'm trying all sorts of videos to get more people to press the "like" button on my fanpage. If you have any suggestions, please put them in the comments section below.

Thanks to everyone who has given me support so far, and I'll keep trying my best towards reaching 1000.

New Video: Cute This Time?

Hello! Hi! :D

As you can tell from the title, I have a new video up today. Yay! It's on the cute side this time, so I hope you'll all like it. At the very least, it shows that I can do other kinds of songs. It's not a live version since I want to focus more on my voice and get comments on it. If I were to do a live version, I would definitely need the dress in the PV. The dress change part is always exciting to watch and it happens in almost a split second too! So go check out my Youtube page for the new video and don't be shy to leave comments.

Some of you may have noticed my poll that was running last month and with an amazing number of 3 votes, it was unanimous that I should make more videos. I figured that was the case. @.@ But I'm not giving up and I know I have to work hard if I want to get anywhere in life. Expect more surprise videos in hopes of getting more people to become a fan.

Jump Start Idol Update: I have just over 100 likes on my fanpage (that's just over 10%). But time is running out and I'm not sure how I'll get almost 900 people to press the "like" button within less than 3 months. >.< I really need your help! Tell your friends to press that button in support of helping someone reach their dream. I honestly can't do it alone. I would like to thank everyone who has pressed the button so far. I'm really grateful that I have so many people supporting me so far and I hope I won't disappoint.

New Video! Surprise Cover!

Yes, I have a new video up! I'm so happy (and it's been so long too @.@).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WjVv7xYtLE0

It's a piano cover this time from one of my favorite animes: Tiny Snow Fairy Sugar. If you have not seen this series, you are missing out. I would think that most people would be surprised that I'm doing something other than singing and dancing in a video (but unless you knew I played the piano, then you might have seen this one coming). I've got quite a few surprise covers under my sleeve, so keep on the look out for them!

Way Overdue Update

It's been a long time since I've last updated because it's now midterm time at school. @.@

Updates:
- My 3rd video has been up on Youtube for a while. It's C-ute's latest single "Dance de Bakoon!".
- I quit my part-time job to allow for more study time (university is not easy).
- I'm working on more covers and hope to have them up on Youtube in the next week or two.
- I've reached 92 likes on my fanpage. I still have 908 more to go, so please spread the word and help me get 1000 likes so I can become a Jump Start Idol!

If you have any questions, don't be shy to ask them at Formspring and Ask.fm.
If you want to check out the latest videos I've watched and liked, then check out my Twitter.
Check out my fanpage for updates on new videos or subscribe to me on Youtube.

That's all for now. I hope to post more videos to get more likes and hopefully hit 1000.

Downs and Ups: My Week So Far

So I've been quite busy this week with killer hours at work. I was scheduled 3 days this week between 7-8 hours per shift. Unfortunately, my shift was scheduled tomorrow, which is also the same day as the Jpop/Kpop party held by Jump Start Club and was also suppose to be the place to gather more fans. Because I can't attend (and I really can't because my shift ends at 11pm @.@), I'll just have to work harder and try to get more videos out.

My 3rd video will be recorded soon. Sorry for the delay if you've been following and keeping up with me. >.< Remember, you can always send me suggestions and leave them in the comments section or post it in the discussion section of my fanpage.

On the upside, I got to see a few more people from my summer Japanese class. I met one of my classmates who is trying to get me fans for JSI (thank you so much :D). I also met my Japanese teacher and I felt so.. so.. lost for words because I haven't been practicing my Japanese, so I wasn't able to respond to her back in Japanese. >.< It just gives me more reason to review a bit, so that I don't lose what I learned forever. Gambarimasu!

Friday: The Day Before the Weekend

Yay, it's Friday!!! :D

So I decided to go eat at Sakura, a Japanese restaurant in Montreal, today. I went there twice during my 10 week Japanese summer class. I tried to use Japanese at much as possible, but sometimes I was just lost for words (but I was still able to successfully order my food in Japanese). :3 Salad was yummy as always (I love that salad dressing, must have it). Miso soup was nice and warm. I decided to go with the Shogun Deluxe this time, since I had already tried the Samurai and Sakura. (Yes, I order food that has cool names XD.) Ended the meal with green tea ice cream and some rice tea. Yum! <3 What was peculiar this time around was that my soya sauce was in a container that was teapot shaped. The entire time I thought it was tea until I opened it up. ^_^" I'm definitely going to ask to work at that restaurant during the summer (please hire me!!).

On the subject of thinking ahead, I decided to email some professors if I can work in their lab and guess what they said? I'm asking way too early. @.@ Are you serious? They must think I'm super crazy. >.< I'll ask back in January, but I thought lab spots get taken quickly, which is why I asked early in the semester. Oh well. ^_^"

So I have just hit 70+ fans. I will be taking my nicely dressed classmate/friend Joey's advice and do some spamming at local anime clubs. I've only done 1 anime song, so I'm not sure how much support I'll get, but I'll give it a try!

If you have any suggestions for songs I should do, please be a fan at my fanpage and post it in the appropriate discussion. If you don't have Facebook, then feel free to post your suggestions in the comments section below.

Small Update

Hey everyone!

While searching for more ways to get publicity, I saw that a lot of people use Formspring. So now you can ask me any question you want on my Formspring page that is located on the right side of my blog.

Another update is that I now have 65 fans! Yay! I just need another.. 935? @.@ I'm working on my new cover right now (I'm just having trouble finding the correct lyrics and memorizing them at the moment). I really hope to get it up by next week.

If you have any ideas on how I can get more publicity and more fans, leave it in the comment section.

School started today.. Now what do I do?

So I started school today! Yeah.. So much fun..

At least I met some people from my summer Japanese class today. It was kind of funny that when I replied with "Ohayo~" they were like "... Ohayo". I totally understand how they feel. I've gotten rusty with my Japanese too, since I haven't been practicing. I hope to have a little time to review during my busy schedule, especially the kanji. But I guess practicing conversation would be my first priority though.

I also had class with one of my friends today. :D Yay!

So after my classes were over, I finally got home and checked over all my class stuff to find out...that I need...to buy...a clicker!! @.@ So I'll have to magically buy my clicker, find a computer, register it all before class starts tomorrow. *sigh* I'm sure I can do it, but I wish I had checked this info when I was still on campus (or maybe not.. the line ups were super long at the bookstore).

Tomorrow is another day and while I am scheduled to have a lab tomorrow, I just hope I don't do any lab work other than inventory. Please no cleaning. >.<

Busy Busy Busy: The Day Before School Starts

So school starts tomorrow and I'm totally not prepared to go back. >.< But tomorrow will eventually come, which means that I have to wake up early in the morning and get myself to class.

Other than worrying about school, I got a new job recently and I have to work today. T_T It wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't during the SYTYCD Canada results show. Oh well, I guess I'll have to look up the results tomorrow.

I'm also worrying about my upcoming piano exam in January, but I know that I'll do ok as long as I can fit some practice time into my schedule. @.@

In other news, I do have a Twitter account. I won't make any updates on it, but you can check some of the stuff I like and favorite on Youtube. Maybe you'll like it too.

I'm also slowly getting to 1000 likes on my fanpage. I have 59 likes at the moment. I'm hoping that my next video will help me out too. What is the next song I'm doing? I'll keep it a surprise until I get it on Youtube. It should be up by next week, so look forward to it!

Jump Start Idol

Hey everyone!

Some of you may know that I'm striving to become a Jump Start Idol in my hometown of Montreal. I need 1000 likes on my fanpage to be officially a JSI. To explain my situation, I will answer a few FAQ below.

Q: What is Jump Start Idol?
A: Jump Start Idol is a competition created by Jump Start Club. Their goal is to produce their own Jpop group in Montreal.

Q: What happens when you become a JSI?
A: If I'm a JSI, I will be singing and dancing to original songs in Japanese. I'll first get to perform in Japanese festivals in Montreal, and hopefully spread to gigs in Japan.

Q: Why do you want to be a JSI so much?
A: It's been my dream since I was young to be an idol in Japan. The opportunity came and I didn't want to miss my chance.

Q: Why should I vote for you?
A: Simply, you'd make my dream come true. To prove myself, check out my fanpage and Youtube page.

Q: I like what you're doing. How can I help?
A: You need to go to my Facebook fanpage and press the "like" button.

Q: I'm still not convinced..
A: That's fine. What songs do you think I should do to win your vote? I'm open to all suggestions and critiques. You can post your suggestions in the comments section below.

Q: Good luck!
A: Thanks. I'll definitely work hard.
