The episode starts out with Tsubasa informing Sensei-sensei about the concert at Tundrastar, and how it was a success because of the 77th generation. Sensei-sensei responds with his glowing eyes, and a tune playing out of nowhere. The Kiraras start glowing, and Tsubasa has a feeling that the time has come for something.
The 77th generation are in the cafeteria where Makoto shows them the charm of putting butter and soy sauce on top of her rice for a "delicious" high-calorie meal. As Makoto eats her creation, Tsubasa walks in and announces to all the members that they will be doing a gravure photoshoot this weekend, and this includes the understudies. Yuka asks if they will be wearing swimsuits again, and Tsubasa says "of course." Nagisa is embarrassed, while Orine wants to wear a one-piece this time. Makoto stops eating for obvious reasons. (Concerned about her figure, especially in a swimsuit.) Yuuko asks where the photoshoot will be, and Tsubasa says that it will be on Atamistar. Yuuko has a stern expression on her face, and then suddenly becomes all cheery saying that the photoshoot obviously would not be anywhere else.
Yuka pretty much explains the general idea of a gravure photoshoot. Idols do regular photoshoots with bikinis on, but they are not considered gravure per se. When gravure is mentioned, it means to wear very little clothing, or none at all while covering yourself strategically for suggestiveness.
Sonata tries to be sexy, but Kanata tells Sonata to not bother showing off what she does not have (referring to Sonata's chest). Everyone laughs, except for Sonata, while Chieri is practicing her poses in front of the window (it is nighttime, so she can see her reflection in the glass). Everyone has noticed that Chieri has changed from before.
They are all headed to Atamistar, a planet that is mostly ocean. Makoto does not seem to want to eat anything as Mimori noticed that she skipped breakfast. Everyone is worried, but Makoto says that she might just be spacesick. Just beside them, Kanata asks Takamina how she is feeling, and hands her a homemade cookie with Takamina's face drawn on it.
Yuka says that love is in the air, while Orine says how adorable Kanata is. Sonata simply cheers for her sister. However, Makoto seems to be really worried about her figure for the photoshoot, as she pinches her belly flab without anyone noticing.
The understudies have arrived on Atamistar. Sonata wants to play, but Tsubasa tells them that they can play after they are done with the photoshoot. The undestudies get changed, but Makoto heads to the washroom instead of the waiting room with the others. Linda senses that something is amiss.
In the washroom, we see that Makoto is worrying a lot about her figure, especially that all the food she has eaten is not going towards her chest at all. Linda says that Makoto's looks are quite unique, and childlike, but Makoto does not want to hear that kind of compliment.
It then cuts to Yuuko talking to Tsubasa about how Atamistar was the place where Yuuko did her first photoshoot, and how the successors back then helped her out, since she was so embarrassed. Yuuko then talks seriously to Tsubasa, calling her by her former AKB0048 name.
Yuuko wants to know about the Kiraras of Succession and the Sacred Grounds, but Tsubasa tells her that 00 members are forbidden from talking about that subject. Tsubasa thinks that Yuuko is still worried about Takamina, but Yuuko's dream is to become Center Nova. Yuuko knows how close Mariko-sama was with Acchan, and how after Acchan disappeared, Mariko-sama graduated right after and joined the administration to find out why Acchan disappeared. It was then that the Center Nova position was removed.
With that said, Linda decides to help Makoto out. Sonata comes in to find Makoto, only to hear her screaming in pain. Makoto tells Sonata to go on ahead of her. Sonata is worried.

Makoto joins the rest of the understudies, and surprises them.
Everyone shakes their head at Kanata's question. Linda explains that she pushed all of Makoto's body flab towards her chest, and held it together with duct tape.
Makoto is just happy to be part of the "nice body team," although Linda thinks that it was unnecessary.
It then cuts to Yuuko talking to Tsubasa about how Atamistar was the place where Yuuko did her first photoshoot, and how the successors back then helped her out, since she was so embarrassed. Yuuko then talks seriously to Tsubasa, calling her by her former AKB0048 name.
Yuuko: "I don't care if I disappear, so long as I become Center Nova."
Back on the beach...
When it is Makoto's turn, Sonata jumps on her, causing her chest pads to fall into the water.
When she picks them up and puts them back in her bikini top, a jellyfish pops out of her bikini top, and shocks her.
It is now Nagisa and Chieri's turn. They try to strike a pose, but the photographer, who appears to be a former member of 00 based on the diamonds in her eyes, tells them to get closer like they are hugging.
The photographer tells them to smile, and when they do, Kirara glows so bright that Chieri and Nagisa have to close their eyes. The photographer says that it is enough, and that it is Yuuka and Orine's turn.
The sun has set, so the understudies are taking a bath together, except for Makoto and Linda.
(Wow. Look at that hotel room.)
Linda bathes with Makoto, saying that there is a 0048 tradition that members bathe together in their private baths. As Linda washes herself, she tells Makoto that Makoto is fine the way she is. Makoto says that Linda has a nice body, and she is cute. However, Linda says that she just wanted to be part of AKB0048, and not necessarily become a successor. Linda wants to be in a more supportive role like Tsubasa.
Outside, Nagisa talks with Chieri and asks if Chieri is alright.
Chieri reminds Nagisa how Yuuko told them that Kiraras glow in resonance with an idol's aura, but the Kirara that is always around Chieri has never glowed for her once. It seems that the Kirara only glows when Nagisa is there. Chieri feels that she has lost to Nagisa, despite saying that she would not be easy to beat. Chieri gets up to leave, and then they hear Makoto screaming in the distance. The understudies run towards Makoto's room to see that the jellyfish sting caused Makoto's chest to swell enormously. Despite it being uncomfortable, Makoto runs to find the photographer to take pictures of her temporary assets.
Speaking of the photographer, we see her at the bar, joined by Tsubasa, who asks if the photographer was able to capture something. The photographer says "yes," and shows the photo below:
Tsubasa says that she was right in asking this particular photographer to take the pictures.
Mii-chan says that she is no Center Nova, as she ran away.
Mii-chan tells Tsubasa to not bring back the Center Nova position.
Mii-chan leaves without answering Tsubasa's question, leaving Tsubasa alone to think how she still has not figured out what happened to Acchan.
The episode ends up with the understudies sleeping, while Nagisa thinks to herself that she does not think she has been chosen by the Kirara. She says to Chieri's back that she refuses to believe that this is about winning or losing.
